Reuben
Negron was born in Florida, raised in the Bronx and entered adulthood in Connecticut. He began studying theater and set design at an early age but embraced the challenge of watercolor while attending the Maryland Institute College of Art. He lived
abroad for a year in Aix-en-Provence, France, before returning to New
York to complete his MFA at the School of Visual Arts. Over the years, Reuben's
work has been published and exhibited internationally. He currently lives and works in Astoria, Queens where he regularly enjoys the Beer Garden, Greek and Egyptian food, and not having a small, dark, cramp apartment somewhere in Manhattan.
Clients include Anthropologie, Automobile Magazine, Disney, Hatch Creative Studio, The
Houston Museum of Natural Science, Ovando, Pottery Barn, Senior Golfer
Magazine, The W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the U.S. Open. He is a regular contributor to the comic-anthology, Rabid Rabbit.
